Despite unfavourable weather an enthusiastic crowd of 600 of racegoers enjoyed a great afternoon of racing on Saturday 20 June at Allman Park.
The afternoon of racing featured a hat trick of wins to female jockeys, with the ladies in silks taking out the first three races and Kylie Geran training the winner in the final race of the day. For a full race day breakdown, race-by-race, click here.

Inclement weather fails to dampen great racing at Allman Park

Despite the unfavourable weather an enthusiastic crowd of 600 racegoers enjoyed a great afternoon’s racing on Saturday 20 June. The trend of horses coming from far and wide to Warwick continued with stables represented from Coffs Harbour to Doomben and most points in between. Bookies reported an even result with several good results and a couple of heavily backed winners arriving to take the cream off their day.
Texas trainer Rod Hilton has nominated five horses for the Ergon Energy Race Day at Allman Park on Saturday. Nearly 100 nominations were received, including 29 in the Raheen Stud QTIS Maiden Plate for three year olds. Nominations were extended by a day for races one and five prompting an increase to fields of 11 in each race.
